Benjamin Mendez Cervantes, age 47, a resident of Franklin, TN, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 6, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will be at the San Jose Galindo Cemetery in San Juan Del Rio, Mexico.
The San Juan Del Rio, Mexico, native was the son of Ignacio Mendez Duran and Tomasa Cervantes de Mendez of Mexico. He was the husband of Marie Relles Tobar Ocbera of Mexico. He worked for Salvador Painting in Franklin, TN
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by five brothers: Miguel Mendez of Columbia, Antonio Mendez of Lawrenceburg, Mursenino Mendez, Jorye Mendez and Panfilo Mendez, all of Mexico; four sisters: Josefina Mendez, Juanita Mendez, Sebera Mendez and Juana Mendez, all of Mexico; two sons: Ignacio Mendez
and Trinidad Mendez, both of Columbia; four daughters: Elizabeth Mendez, Juadulupe Mendez, Maria Dela Luz Mendez and Monica Mendez, all of Columbia; several grandchildren.
