Beatrice Williams Massey

Mrs. Beatrice Leora Williams Massey, 79, a resident of Harris Lane in Columbia, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Massey will be conducted Friday, August 1, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Columbia Funeral Home with John Vaughan and
Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Arch Vestal and Macie Twomey Williams. She was the widow of Murrell Massey. Mrs. Massey owned Riverside Cloth Shop & Columbia Bargain Center. She was a former secretary for Central Basin Angus Association for many years. She was active with Meals-On-Wheels and a professional grandmother. She was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy E.R. Lane Calloway of Seattle, WA and Marie Tony Anderson of Hendersonville, TN; a son, Charles David Stephanie Massey of Columbia, TN; a brother, Charles Vestal JeanWilliams of Metairie, LA; six granddaughters, Brooke Brent Hollingsworth of Pflugerville, TX, Myca Lester Craven of Seattle, WA, Kristi Chris Campanella of Denver, CO, Alison Anderson of Hendersonville, TN, McKinsey Massey of Columbia, TN, and Lauren Massey of Memphis, TN; two grandsons, Derek Hagood of Whitefish, MT and Chad Amy Anderson of Dalton, GA; five great-grandchildren, Lanae & John Hollingsworth, Ezekiel & Zaynah Craven and Grace Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shirley Allen, Pat Behrens, Melody Knell, Dr. Linda Monroe, Donna Carnahan, Shirley Corder, Carol Fann, Janice Johnson, Keffie Morrow, Beverly Simmons and employees of Alterra Sterling House.
