Beatrice L. Taylor

Mrs. Beatrice L. Taylor, age 93, resident of Azalea Drive in Mt. Pleasant went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 24, 2011 at her residence.

Mrs. Taylor was born on September 5, 1917 in Morgan County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Gill Potter and the late Leona Hawn Potter. Beatrice was the wife of Spurgeon Taylor who passed away in 2001. She was a former employee of Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing as a floor lady. She loved to fish, spend time gardening and loved working in her flower and vegetable garden up until last year. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by five daughters, Marilyn William Lamar, Willomae James Hamilton and Joyce Howard Scruggs all of Mt. Pleasant, Geraldine Carson Burgess of Gamaliel, KY and Wanda Sue Jimmy Bean of Hampshire; a son, Lynn Taylor of Russell Spring, KY; a sister, Josie Potter of Wartburg, TN; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Taylor will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 27, 2011 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Ezell Rose and Rev. Danny Laster officiating. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens.

The Taylor Family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Taylor Hamilton, Chris Bean, Hillary Burgess, Andrew King, John King and Dennis Pickering. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Burgett, Owen Moore, Bill Carter, John Swaner, Lowell Dean Potter, Denton Crews, William Lamar, Howard Scruggs, Jimmy Hamilton, Jimmy Bean, Carson Burgess and Randy Driver.
