Barbara Sproul Nelson

Mrs. Barbara Sproul Nelson, 63, died at her home on Sunday, June 23, 2002, after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Verno and Clara Harrison Nourse and was preceded in death by a son, James Harrison Sproul.
She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Nelson; one daughter, Beth Sproul, two sons, Jon Kim Sproul and David Sproul; two step-daughters, Bonnie Tim Halstead and Debbie Pat Greene; 8 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by four sisters, Sandra Dean Brownell, Judith Paul Gretzler, Joan Gerald Accurso and Janet Nourse and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim, 705 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401 or to the Barbara Nelson Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Columbia State Community College, 1665 Hampshire Pike, and Columbia, TN 38401.
Williams Columbia Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
