Barbara Ann Mcneece

Barbara Ann McNeece, age 85, was a long time resident of Hampshire Pike. More recently, she was a 10 year resident of Canterbury Gardens in Columbia, TN. For the last 3 years, she lived at Poplar Estates Memory Care and passed away there on May 7, 2020.

Barbara was born on June 7, 1934 in Lawrence County, TN. She is the daughter of the late William E. Mabry and Lemma Downing Mabry. She was a longtime employee at Parks Belk as a retail associate. She volunteered her time at Graymere Clothes Closet. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, and cross stitching. She loved watching football and basketball on T.V., cheering on the Manning brothers, and listening to Elvis. She always enjoyed being around people with a smile on her face. Her greatest joy was her 3 children and granddaughter, Anna. She was a faithful member of Graymere Church of Christ since 1963.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her father: William Ellis Mabry; mother: Lemma Downing Mabry; husband: William Albert McNeece; brothers: William "Billy" Ellis Mabry, Jr. and James Edward Mabry; sister: Beatrice Downing Barton; niece: Cathy Mabry Kurtz

She is survived by her children: Daniel Paul "Danny" McNeece, Lisa Ann King, Lemma Carol Fite (Joe) of Columbia; granddaughter: Anna Carol Fite; nephew: Keith Mabry; nieces: Melinda Partin and Marty Edwards.

A graveside service for Barbara will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Chapel Grove Cemetery in Summertown Tennessee with Eddie Rogers officiating.

Pallbearers: Keith Mabry, Ricky Mabry, Joe Fite, Alec Blade, and Mike Allen.

Thank you to the nurses, caregivers, and staff at Poplar Estates "The Gardens" in Columbia, TN for their quality and loving care. Special thanks to the Chaplain of Poplar Estates Eddie Rogers.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to Graymere Church of Christ.
