Barbara Kuykendall Bond

November 24, 1919 — June 2, 2002

Mrs. Barbara Alice Heath Kuykendall Bond, 82, formerly of Circle Drive in Columbia and a resident of the Nashville Highway, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.

A memorial service for Mrs. Bond will be conducted Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Adair officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Bedfordshire, England native was the daughter of the late John and Annie Pugh Heath. She was the widow of Leslie Bond who died in 1993 and was first married to Harvey Kuykendall who died in 1990. She was a retired nurses tech in the Pediatric Department of Maury Regional Hospital and former employee of Edric Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church in which she was a member of the Lillian Davis Sunday School Class. She served in the British Army and was a member of the Allied Friendship Club.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Valerie Louis Wade and Vera Ronnie Thurman of Columbia; a son, Terry Pat Kuykendall of Jackson, TN; 2 grandchildren, Laurie Yancey and Vicki Lee Shumate of Columbia, TN; 2 great grandchildren, Daniel Yancey and Elizabeth Shumate of Columbia, TN; 3 step great grandchildren, Nathan Barker, Anna Barker, and Nicky Barker all of Jackson, TN; a niece, Janet Steve Stephenson of England; 2 nephews, Michael Ann Bond, and Keith Beverly Bond of England; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren of England; a sister-in-law, Bettye Kuykendall of Columbia; other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vera Bond and Frances Hardy; a brother, Leonard Heath.
