Barbara Jean England

Barbara England, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away early Sunday morning February 9, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 12, 1943, in Norfolk Virginia to Elwood Harrison and Mary Evelyn Kight Hooker. She was the widow of David England, who she met in Italy while both her stepfather and David were serving in the military. She came back to the United States with David and together they raised their family in Mt. Pleasant, TN.

Barbara was an extremely kind, caring and thoughtful woman. She would always put the needs and happiness of others above her own. She was a caregiver for many children in Mt. Pleasant before becoming a clerk at Trades Fair convenience store, Wrights Pharmacy and finally at Rite Aid in Mt. Pleasant.

Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Wayne (Heather) England, Debbie (Richard) Davis, Mike England, and Brenda (Mike) Collins. Grandchildren: Kendra Davis, Jed Davis, Ashley (Cody) Jackson, Natalie (Jacob) Mckinney, Katlyn Collins, Tessa (Charlie) Runions, Erin England, Kara England and Rachel England. She is also survived by her sister Sharon Kennedy; Sister-in-law Linda Warf; Brothers-in-law Neal England, Jr and Bobby Hyle along with several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to her caregiver, Annie Mayes.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 15 at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt Pleasant. Family and friends will gather to honor Barbara’s life on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at 2 PM with Bro. Greg Gwin speaking at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Barbara will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
