Mrs. Barbara Catherine Vaughan Lovett, age 55, a resident of Dowell Branch Road, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Services for Mrs. Lovett will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Gene Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Thursday and Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
She was the daughter of the late Sam Houston Vaughan, Jr., and Lucille Smith Vaughan. She was the wife of Ted A. Lovett of Columbia. She was a former employee of General Electric and was a Certified EMT. She was an adoring grandmother and loved her fish pond. Mrs. Lovett was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband include her children: Scott Lovett of Columbia, Brian Mary Beth Lovett of Mt. Pleasant, and Kelly Corey Lacy of Summertown; grandchildren: Brandon Evans Lovett of Columbia, Keith Ashtin Lacy of Summertown, Preston Vaughan Lacy of Summertown, Mary Catherine Lovett of Mt. Pleasant and Maggie Cathlynnette Lacy of Summertown; one sister: Frances Brady and one brother: Houston BuddyVaughan, III. She was preceded in death by one brother: Tommy Vaughan.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Stanley Smith, Bobby Smith, Carl Lovett, Delmer Lovett and Marty Cummins. Honorary pallbearers will be friends at G.E. and the staff of the CCU Unit at Maury Regional Hospital.
