Barbara Barnes Daniels

April 16, 1915 — December 19, 2004

Mrs. Barbara A. Barnes Daniels, 89, widow of Paul Campbell Daniels and a resident of Adams Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at NHC / Hillview Health Care.

Funeral services for Mrs. Daniels will be conducted Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

The Robertson County native was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Mattie Lou Sherrod Barnes. She attended grammar school and graduated from Bell High School in Adams, Tennessee where she was captain of the basketball team and was dearly proud throughout her life for the reading pin she received in high school. She was a retired librarian with 46 years of service to the Mt. Pleasant Public Library. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.

She is survived by a son, Lonnie Loreita Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, TN; two daughters, Diann David Crews and Judy Jere Trevathan both of Brentwood, TN; two sisters, Emily Warren of Columbia, TN and Bettilynn Streater of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Shaw Tracy Daniels of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Amy Crews Sam Chitty of Cedar Hill, TN, Adam Jamie Crews of Antioch, TN, and Jay Trevathan of Brentwood, TN; three great grandchildren, Katy Daniels and Will Daniels both of Mt. Pleasant, TN, and Madison Chitty of Cedar Hill, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Daniels; a sister, Alene Barnes; three brothers, John Ed Barnes, Marvin Barnes, and Mack Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Shaw Daniels, Adam Crews, Jay Trevathan, Sam Chitty, Mac Barnes, and Terry Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
