Ashley Michelle Brooks, age 18, a resident of Mockingbird Drive in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services for Ashley will be conducted Saturday, March 29, at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant High School Gym with Reverend J. C. Christian and Brother Randy McNeece officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Friday from4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Born in Maury County, she was the daughter of Kimberly Crews Brooks and the late Billy Brooks. Ashley was a senior at the Mt. Pleasant High School and was working at the North Main Shell Station. She loved basketball and was Captain of the basketball team. She received a Scholarship from Martin Methodist College. She loved volleyball, Drama Club, loved shopping, four wheeling and was on the Year Book Staff. She was of Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her grandparents: John and Dorothy Allen of Columbia; aunt, Sharon Kennedy of Columbia; three great aunts: Josephine Hutchinson, Ramona Pitts and Christine Pitts all of Columbia; uncle: Donnie Beech of Columbia; several cousins. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Ronald R. Crews of Pensacola, Fl and paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. William L. Brooks, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Kelsey Voss, Kevin Hughes, Trent Cotham, Jeffery McWilliams, Zack Powell, Steven Colvett and Kerry Boshers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mt. Pleasant Tigers and Lady Tigers Basketball Team, Kelsey Green, Amberly Dugger, Kimmie Nance, Nia Myatt, Brianna Cooper, Megan Brewer and Mt. Pleasant Senior Class of 2008.
