Asa B. Freeman

Mr. Asa B. Freeman, age 85, a resident of Polk Lane in Columbia passed away on Sunday, May 10, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Freeman will be conducted Thursday May 14, at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Brother Ricky Glass officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born December 7, 1923 in Lawrence County, Tennessee. Asa was the son of the late William and Henrietta Collins Freeman and the husband of the late, Annie Mae Harris Freeman. He served our country during World War II in the United States Army. Asa was a retired oilier for General Motors and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a daughter; Linda Michael Lis of Oregon, OH; one brother: Vester Freeman of Paradise, CA; grandchildren: Kimberly Joe De Stazio of Rossford, OH, Kelly Petty of Nashville and Jennifer Travis Flowers of Toledo, OH; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Paul Lis, Cameron Hych, Derek Clifton, Stevie Harris, Steve Grooms and Clint Seaver.
