Arthur Miller Pemerton Jr.

Mr. Arthur Miller Pemerton, Jr. age 61, passed away at Vanderbilt Medical Center on November 25, 2012.

Arthur was born on July 15, 1951 to the late Arthur Miller Pemerton, Sr. and Joyce McNeal Pemerton who survives him in Davidson County, Tennessee. He married Linda Favors Pemerton on August 6, 1979.

He worked as a laborer at Johnson Controls for many years and he was a laborer for the Lord at Taylor Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He was a dedicated family man and especially enjoyed family get-togethers. He was the type of person who never met a stranger. He loved children and his nieces and nephews referred to him as “The Kisser”.

In addition to his mother and wife Arthur Pemerton is survived by his children: Georgia Marie Pemerton, Amanda Dianne Jones, Melissa Kaye (Terry) Cothron, Rebecca Renee Pemerton and Shane (Chastity) Johnson and Shane’s five children; grandchildren: Terissa Cothron, Terry Arthur “Bubba” Cothron and Junior Jones; siblings: Sandra Myers, Joyce Ann Armstrong, Judy Phillips, John Pemerton, Jean Colby and Joseph Pemerton; with a special mention to his sister-in-law Vicki (Willard) Oakley.

Funeral services for Mr. Pemerton will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Gary Fuel officiating. Burial will follow in the Beard Cemetery in Williamson County. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, November 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.

Shane Johnson, John Wayne Pemerton, Shawn Welch, Clay Welch, Terry Cothron, Jr. and Casey Leafdale will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Williard Oakley, Joseph Pemerton and all of Mr. Pemerton’s nieces and nephews.
