She was born on April 2, 1975, to Ralph Hallmark and the late Jean Riley. She possessed a unique gift for seeing the good in everyone and never uttered a negative word about anyone. To her children, April was not just a mother but also a cherished best friend. She embraced the role of "mama April" to countless children and welcomed her children's friends into her home with open arms. April's house was a place of laughter, love, and acceptance, where everyone felt like family.

April is survived by her dedicated and loving husband: Steven Beard; children: Jordan Brady, Jessica Brady, Anders Beard and Tori Beard; and father and stepmother: Ralph Hallmark and Molly Hallmark; and brothers: Kelly Hallmark (Angela) and Eddie Hallmark and several nieces and nephews.
April is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather: Jean Riley Marks and Farris Marks.
Pallbearers will be Anders Beard, Dawson Barksdale, Jeff Lockridge, Steve Farris, Colin Brady, and Tony McKennon.
A service for April will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
