Annie Ruth Smith

Annie Ruth Smith, age 72, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

Ms. Smith was born on September 10, 1947, in Columbia, Tennessee to the late James Paul Smith and Bessie Smith. There are not enough words to describe how caring and incredible Annie Ruth was, her spirit was so much more. In addition to her own child, for over 25 years she cared for children that she loved as her own at N.D.Y.C Daycare. Annie Ruth was also an extremely talented quilter and seamstress. She could create any pattern or design just by looking at it. She could craft anything if she had a needle and thread. Annie Ruth shared so much love throughout her life and her family is so proud of her, she is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Annie Ruth is survived by her son, James (Jamie Lynn) Smith; sister, Willie Mae Smith; niece, Veronica Smith; nephew, Jerome Smith; great nieces, Windy Williams and Amber Smith; great-great nephew, Logan Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and children that went through N.D.Y.C.

Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her mother: Bessie Smith; father: James Smith; and brothers: Eldridge Davis, Albert Davis, James Davis, Elbert Davis, and Paul Smith.
