Annie Delorice Hatten

Annie Delorice “Hicks” Hatten of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on March 22, 2016 at her residence. Delorice was born on December 24, 1947 in Canton, Mississippi to the late Paralee “Turner” Hicks and Meadie Allen Hicks.

Delorice was retired from Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and spent her time knitting, sewing, and spending time in her garden. She loved her church, Highland Park Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir.

Survivors include daughter, Mitzi (Wilfredo) Montes of Mount Pleasant, TN; two grandchildren: Leah Abigail Montes and Robert Antonio Montes; brother: Meadie Allen (Shirley) Hicks Jr. of Morton, Mississippi; sisters: Joan (Douglas) Middleton of Canton, Mississippi and Brenda (Billy) Quinn of Desoto, Missouri. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Columbia at Highland Park Baptist Church on Thursday March 24th beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 26th, at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, Mississippi. The family will receive friends on Friday March 25th from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Canton City Cemetery.
