Annie Laura Francis

Mrs. Annie Laura Francis passed away on December 5, 2012 at her residence in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee surrounded by her family and best friend, Gracie.

She was born in Alabama and was the daughter of Elizabeth Wilson. She was the Unit Secretary at Marion General Hospital. She formerly owned Bucky’s Restaurant, and also worked at C B’s Grocery Store. She was a member at Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and neighbor.

She is survived by her children: Gary L. (Lisa) Cummins, Deborah L. (Bill) Knowles Eads; grandchildren: Ronald (Robin) Knowles, Roderick (Michelle) Knowles, Angie (Jack) Vanover, Jay Cummins, Jason (Marla) Cummins, Paula (David) Ricks, Daryl Briner, Lucas Marley; 25 great-grandchildren; special niece: Faye Durham, special friend: Thomas Andrews and her best friend and faithful companion: “Gracie”. She was preceded in death by her husband William Francis and 10 siblings.

Funeral services for Annie Laura Francis will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, December 8 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gentry and his staff.
