Anna Mary Worley, age 87, of Hampshire, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 in Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Miss Worley will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with David Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
She was born in the Hampshire community on November 24, 1919 to the late Stephen Alonzo and Alice Haynes Worley. Anna was preceded in death by twin sister Alice Oxford, sister Jessie Smart, and by nephews Neil Worley and Douglas Anderson. She was a member of the Cathey?s Creek Church of Christ.
Survivors include sisters Angie Jack Murphy of Trumansburg, NY, Martha Anderson of Knoxville, Ruth Kerley of Loudon; brother Sam Jean Worley of Hampshire and many nieces and nephews including Stephen Worley of Hampshire, Nancy Oxford of Smyrna, Linda Jim Rice Oxford of Memphis, and Brian Smart of Chattanooga.
Anna devoted her professional life to helping others as a school teacher in McMinnville and in her career as a UT Home Demonstration Agent, spending many years in Lexington, TN. Her love for family is evident in the devotion she had for her sisters, brother, nieces, and nephews and in their devotion to her.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Anna?s caregivers at the Life Care Center of Columbia.
