Mrs. Ann Johnson Huckaby Haney, age 85, a resident of Baker Road in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 2nd at Life Care Center of Columbia. Her last hours were spent surrounded by family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haney will be conducted Sunday, June 6th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. John Vaughan and Bro. Donald Dark officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born June 14, 1924 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Augustus "Gus" Nichols Johnson and Carrie Riggins Johnson. Ann was dearly loved by her husband James "Jim" Haney of Columbia. She owned and operated Ann's Uniform Boutique in Columbia for 25 years. She was devoted to her 2 sons and showered her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews with love and affection. She was a member of the Thompson Station Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by her sons: Clifton Allen Huckaby, Jr., and Charles Douglas Huckaby, both of Columbia; two sisters: Irene Johnson Joe Huckaby and Norma Beck Rosson, both of Columbia. Ann was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret J. Ashton, 5 half brothers and 2 half sisters.
Pallbearers will be Victor Beck, Jr., Steve Beck, Barry Beck, John Tomlinson, Wayne Everett, Virgil H. Haney, Stan Huckaby, Joe Marshall Bedwell and Zach White. Nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
