Mrs. Ann Baker Jewell Craig, 96, a resident of Trotwood Avenue in Columbia, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2006 at NHC/Hillview.

Funeral services for Mrs. Craig will be conducted, Monday May 1, 2006 at 4:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will be in the Stand Cemetery in the Shady Grove Community. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The Shady Grove native of Hickman County was the daughter of the late, Walker and Covie Anderson Baker of Shady Grove. She first married J. B. Jewell in December of 1930 and he passed away December of 1967, then she married Clifford Craig in March of 1973 and he passed away in January of 1983. Mrs. Craig attended school at Shady Grove and Central High School. She retired from clerking in stores and belonged to the Home Denomination Club and did volunteer work for the Red Cross. She was a member of the West 7th Church of Christ for many years.

She is survived by two step-sons, Dr. James L Roberta Craig of Minneapolis, MN and Ronny Linda Craig of Marshall County, TN; grandchildren, James Craig, Jr. of Bethesda, MD, Margaret Ann Craig of Minneapolis, MN, Stephanie Saucier of Thompson Station, TN, and Suzanne Swanson of Spring Hill, TN; eight great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Richard Jewell of Columbia; three sisters-in-law, Sara Jewell of Columbia, TN, Elizabeth Baker and Louise Edwards both of Shady Grove, TN; special friends, Dorothy Jean Witherow, Sandra Selle, and Evelyn Lunn.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary B. McConnell; one brother, Tom Walker Baker; one brother-in-law, Andrew McConnell.

Pallbearers will be Harry Lunn, Ricky Jewell, Johnny Jewell, James Craig, Jr., Barry Saucier, Kurt Swanson, John Jewell and Tom Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mr. Putman Sunday School Class of the West 7th Street Church of Christ, Hop Dorris, Bill Brown, Bart Saucier, Dr. Gaylon Harris, Fred Selle, Dr. Taylor Rayburn, Jr., Bobby Brown, Walker Brown, David Yates and Joe Shelby.
