Anita Stewart Slick, 56, a resident of Reece Church Road in Columbia, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born February 6, 1955 in Maury County, daughter of the late Herbert and Elvie Patterson Stewart and wife of the late Dwight Slick. She worked as a manager for Quick Mart before becoming disabled. She loved playing the piano, horseback riding and country music. Mrs. Slick was a member of Hampshire Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Slick will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children: Adrian Brittany Slick and Angela Slick Mike Cohea, both of Columbia; sisters: Linda McCord and Rita Kenny Smith, Gail James King, all of Columbia and Mary Ann Mike Hardison of Lexington, TN; grandchildren: Charles Smith Jr., Jaden Smith, Leyana Dooley, Europe Dooley and Alexis Slick, all of Columbia; sister-in-law: Beverly Curley of Culleoka. She was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Stewart; a granddaughter: Neveah Slick.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Slick, Mike Cohea, Arnold Francis, Kenny Smith, John Michael Anderson, James King, Taboris Jones and Rev. Teddy Baxter. Honorary pallbearers will be the 3rd floor Oncology and the Skilled Nursing Units of Maury Regional Medical Center.
