Anita Campbell, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 15, 2024, at NHC-Walnut in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on October 2, 1955, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Elmer Stewart and Cecelia Stewart.
Anita possessed a heart of gold, coupled with a sharp tongue that added spice to her personality. She was known for her unwavering generosity, always willing to give the shirt off her back to those in need. Her feisty and independent spirit guided her through life's challenges, and she approached each day with resilience and determination.
A devoted mother and friend, Anita poured her love into raising three children and four grandchildren. She adored her family and found joy in their company. Anita had a passion for music of all genres and enjoyed the soothing rhythm of crocheting in her spare time.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Cecelia Stewart, as well as her siblings: John Haygood, Mikey Stewart, Joey Stewart, Pam Scott, and Susan White. She is also preceded by the father of her children, John Campbell.
She is survived by her children: Randall Campbell, Anita Campbell, and Teri Campbell; and grandchildren: Nicky, Mary, Bobby, and Johnny Campbell, and Kayla, Halle, Jacob Potter, and Michael White; and sisters: Patricia (Don) Collins and Audrey (Shorty) Ashworth.
The service will be Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 10:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Anita will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee.
