Andrew Turner Mcconnell

June 3, 1904 — February 8, 2005

Mr. Andrew Turner McConnell, 100, a resident of Third Avenue in Columbia, died Tuesday February 8, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital

Funeral services for Mr. McConnell will be conducted Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Marshall County native was the son of the late Ed and Jennie McKnight McConnell. He was the widower of Mary Baker Frazier McConnell who died in 1996. Mr. McConnell was retired from Life of Georgia and was a farmer. He was a member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ in which he was a member of James Putman Sunday School Class.

He is survived by a sister, Marie Philby Hanson of Warren, MI; two brothers, Dr. Claude McConnell of Huntersville, NC and Eddie McConnell of Michigan; sister-in-law, Ann Baker Jewell Craig of Columbia, TN.

He was preceded in death by a step son, Tom Baker Frazier; three sisters, Pauline McConnell, Mary Frances McConnell and Sue McConnell Haines.

Pallbearers will be Tom Johnson, Jerry Walker, Tom Lunn, John Lunn, Harry Lunn and John Knox Andrews.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of James Putman Sunday School Class at West 7th Street Church of Christ, Dr. William Robinson, Richard Jewell, Bill Brown, Cleveland Walls, Williams Hambek, First Farmers & Merchants Operations Center Staff that delivered meals-on-wheels, and the nurses & staff of NHC/Columbia Health Care.
