Andrew John Mangiaracina

Andrew John Mangiaracina, age 49, a resident of Rosewood Drive in Columbia, passed away on Monday, July 21, at his residence.

Funeral services for Andrew will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Pastor David Ghee and Father Nicholas Allen officiating.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.

A native of Flint, Mi, Andrew was the son of the late Andrew Mangiaracina and Sandra Jean Merrill Mangiaracina. He was employed as an armed security guard with Walden Security. A Columbia resident since 1994, he was devoted to his job and his church, Freedom Church in Cool Springs. Andrew had a servant's heart and was head of the Helps ministry at his church. He was an avid bowler and often times Galaxy Lanes was his home away from home.

Survivors include his brothers and sister: Patrick Paula Mangiaracina of Culleoka, Mary Mangiaracina of Flint, MI and Greg Mangiaracina, also of Flint; nieces and nephews: James, Alexandra, Vinnie, Gina, Matt and Nateace, David and Serina, Steven and Olive and Ashley; 9 great-nieces and nephews He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous special friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Peter Joseph Mangiaracina.
