Mrs. Alyne Sneed Allen, 88 a resident of Wedgewood Drive in Columbia, passed away Friday, April 18, at Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allen will be conducted Sunday April 20, at 4:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Steve Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of late James Allen "Jim" and Dilly Hickman Sneed. She was the widow of John W. "Tony" Allen. Mrs. Allen worked as a looper at the Tennessee Knitting Mill. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by one sister: Mildred Leon Walters of Columbia; nieces and nephew: Gail Ledford, Buster Pat Walters, Mike Sandra Walters of Columbia and Karen Walters of Pulaski, Tim Bonnie Sneed of Nolensville, Tommy Rosie Cook of Oregon and Terry Cooper of Washington; sister-in-law: Nettie P. Sneed of Nolensville; special friends: Ruth Duke, Betsy Gipson, Sara Chappell and Wanda Kelley; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother: Mahlon Sneed.
Pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of First Nazarene Church of Columbia.
Memorials may be made to the Rose Hill Cemetery P.O. Box 1015, Columbia, TN.
