Mr. Alvin H. Farlow Jr., 48, died Tuesday May 6, 2003 at his residence on Breckenridge Road, in Columbia.
Services for Mr. Farlow will be conducted Friday, May 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Baker and Pastor Donald Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Alvin H. Farlow Sr. and Mary Estelle Burks Farlow, and the husband of Deborah Doggett Farlow. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Farlow is survived by one son, Alex Floyd Farlow, of Columbia; a Daughter, Tabitha Farlow, of West Virginia, two Step-daughters, Harley Callahan and Laura Wheeler, both of Columbia; one Step-grandson, Sebastian Callahan, of Columbia; a Step-granddaughter, Sylvia "Sissy" Callahan of Columbia; two sisters, Beverley Kaye Butler of Hampshire and Shirley Ann Boyle of Columbia and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Farlow is preceded in death by his father, Alvin H. Farlow Sr.
Pallbearers for Mr. Farlow will be, Jimmy Davidson, Kenny Wayne Sisk, Danny Ray Sisk, Ricky Ring, David Ring, Billy Ring, Elmer "Jim" Howell, William Alvin Massey and Billy Buckner.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and the Doctors and staff of the Oncology Department of Maury Regional Hospital.
