Alton E. Allen

Mr. Alton E. "Gene" Allen, 71, died Thursday, December 12, 2002 at his residence on Factory Creek Road in Pulaski.
Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Ricky Glass officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the son of the late Grady lee and Ines Prentice Allen. He was the husband of Doise Vick Allen of Pulaski. He was a retired chemist for Rhone Poulenc in Mt. Pleasant. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Summertown Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Kim Irene Ellis of Pulaski; two grandchildren, Sammie Joe Ellis and Lance Allen Ellis both of Pulaski; a brother, Bill Allen of Lawrenceburg; a niece and nephew, Darlene Allen and David Asllen both of Lawrenceburg.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Mims, Donnie Grimes, Collin McKennon, Wallace Embry, Johnnie Colvett, and Richard Smith.
Memorials may be made to the Summertown Church of Christ Youth Group 305 Church Street Summertown, Tennessee 38483.
