Alton "Buddy" Freemon

Alton Wayne "Buddy" Freemon, 57, a resident of Pulaski Highway in Culleoka and a former resident of Lawrence County, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011.
Born January 6, 1954 in Lawrence County, son of the late Carl and Virginia Sutten Freemon and the husband of Lynn Freemon. He was a carpenter in construction and an antiques dealer. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Freemon is survived by his children: Dawn Scott Beckham of Leoma and Buddy Wayne Freemon of Columbia; step-daughter: Robyn Doug Anderson of Columbia; grandchildren: Destiny Sims and Harley Beckham, both of Leoma and Austin Freemon and Lyndsey Curtis of Columbia.
Graveside services for Mr. Freemon will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in the Arbors of Polk Memorial Gardens with Dave Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Shaffer, Scott Beckham, Doug Anderson, Zach Flippo, Brandon Sutliffe and Gary Hamby.
