Alma Jean Kelley Chapman, age 72 of Summertown Tennessee passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at her home after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Summertown Church of Christ. She was born September 11, 1941 in Maury County Tennessee to the late Charlie Thedford and Judy Sullivan Kelley. She was a loving wife for 57 years to Hazel L. Chapman. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A procession will be led to Summertown Cemetery at Noon, where graveside services will be conducted.
She was also preceded in death by son Jeffery Keith Chapman; sisters Dorothy Kelley, Ruth Ann Thomas, and Katherine Potts; and brothers Paul Kelley and Raymond Kelley.
In addition to her husband she is survived by daughter Lynn (Steve) Foster of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; son Allen Chapman of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; grandchildren John Mark (Desiree) Foster, Tyler Foster both of Clarksville, Tennessee, Evan Chapman, Sarah Kate Chapman both of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; one great grandson Ian Foster; sisters Irma Roper of Piedmont, South Carolina and Elizabeth Saylors; and brother E.W. Kelley.
She is also survived by special love ones and friends Doug and Glenda Chapman, Brent, Kellie, Drake, Sydney and Ryder Blackwood, Steve, Teresa, Matt and Eric Wilkinson, Tim, Julie, and Anna Kate and Addie Bacon.
Pallbearers are Randy Pope, Jeff Durham, Doug Chapman, Steve Wilkinson, Tim Bacon, and Brent Blackwood.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the many Doctors, Nurses, and caregivers that served Mrs. Chapman over her many years of illness.
