Alma Jo Grimmitt

Mrs. Alma Jo Anderson Grimmitt, age 71, a resident of Trotwood Avenue, passed away on April 29, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Grimmitt will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter the late John Ervin Anderson and Mary Kathleen Pogue Anderson. Mrs. Grimmitt was a homemaker and a member of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters: Sherrie Grimmitt David Long and Elizabeth Grimmitt Michael Wenghofer, both of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren: Samantha and Sierra Wenghofer and Cameron Ross Long and Spencer Long, all of Rock Hill; sisters: Sue Voss, Marie Billy Filson, Kay Rip Baxter, Beulah Donald Marshall and Martha Barker; one brother: Charlie Ellen Anderson; special nieces: Jeannie Kerry Crocker, Kim Sam Johnson and Tracy Dan Shelton and a special nephew: Lee Cindy Grimmitt, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Long, Michael Wenghofer, Vernon Brooks, Kerry Crocker, Kasey Crocker, Little Rip Baxter, and Huey Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be James Cox, Lee Grimmitt, Jimmy Farris, Rip Baxter, Donald Barker, a special friend: Rose Drennon, Dr. J. Cummins Couch III, the staff of NHC Hillview and the members of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
