Mrs. Alice E. Bennett Colvett Lovett, age 77, a resident of Campbellsville Road , passed away on Monday, April 12th at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lovett will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday April 14th in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Brother Randy McNeece and Brother Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born January 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Claude W. and Della Ann Langham Bennett. Alice was the wife of Edward "Ed" Lovett of Mt. Pleasant and was first married to Cordia Dee Colvett who preceded her in death in 2005. She was a homemaker and did a lot of work on the farm and was a member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

In addittion to her husband she is survided by her children: Melissa Hickman of Leoma, Kenneth Kay Colvett of Lewisburg and Gary Gina Colvett of Dandridge; grandchildren: Steve Hickman and Miranda Hickman of Liberty Hill, Candi Johns of Pulaski, Christopher Colvett of Columbia, Timothy Colvett of Centerville, Hallie Colvett and GracieLee Colvett of Dandridge; great grandchildren: Drake Hickman of Leoma, Christopher Colvett of Lewisburg, Jaydan Colvett and Maddy Colvett of Columbia; four sisters: Bertha Ray Blocker of Mt. Pleasant, Betty Ann Eley and Jewel Briceno of Columbia and Joyce Thompson Sherrill Schrimsher of Athens, AL; two sisters in law: Cora Faye Bennett of Summertown and Shirley Bennett of Hermitage; six step -children: Delmer Lovett, Ted Lovett, Sandy Wood, Carl Lovett, Charlene Craig and Lisa Cummins; 15 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Claude Bennett and Charles C. Bennett.

Pallbearers will be Steve Hickman, Drake Hickman, Timothy Colvett, Greg Wood, Adam Holt, Christopher Holt, Carl Lovett and Ted Lovett.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Spencer Hill Church of Church.

Memorials may be made to the Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
