Mrs. Alice Virginia Cooper Gelinas, age 65, a resident of Watkins Drive in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Gelinas will be conducted at a later date in Florida.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Mt. Pleasant, FL, she was the daughter of the late William N. and Beatrice Poston Cooper. She was a clerk for the State of Florida in the Child Services Department and attended Rock Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her children: Darleen Rena Hartsfield of Columbia, Christophor Burgess of St. Petersburg, FL, Laura Catherine Gelinas and Alexis Jade Cascino-Gelinas, both of Columbia; sister: Polly Howell of Bainbridge, GA; brother: William Cooper of Mt. Pleasant, FL. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
