Alice Virginia Hooper Brown Age 83 peacefully passed away October 15 in Columbia, TN.
Alice was born 1929 to Jesse and Lillian Hooper, in Isola MS, raised in Nashville and attended Peabody College. In 1950 Alice married John Brown in Michigan where they raised a family of 5 children. Alice was an accomplished painter and a devoted teacher.
Alice is survived by a sister, Ruth and 5 children (Ruth, Mike, Sue, Betsy and Carl), 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service celebrating Alice’s life will be held Thanksgiving weekend at Nashville Unity Church and a gravesite service in Grand Rapids, MI at a later time and date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association (alz.org)
