Alfred Lee Parsons, Jr. was born on July 19, 1953 to the late Alfred Lee Parsons, Sr. and to Mrs. Norma Evans Knox. He was a great handyman who was a carpenter and worked with sheet rock. One of his proudest accomplishments was remodeling the Marshall County Courthouse. He was a veteran of the United State Marine Corp.
Alfred passed away on Monday, July 04, 2011 surrounded by his family.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Norma Knox are his children: Toby Marsha Parsons of Henderson, TN, Nekki Cliff Horne of Miflin, TN, Kimely Greg Taylor of Pocohantas, TN, and Amber Tracey Starks of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Monica, Tasha, Chelsy, Zakary, Coby, Joshua "J. J.", Brooke, Tori, Blake, Caleb, Trey, Trinity and Traci; great-grandchild: Landen; siblings: Johnny, Tommy Michele, Jerry, Lorie Clarence, Jimmy and several other siblings; nieces and nephews: Josh, Cassie, and Daniel along with several other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Parsons was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd Craig and Ronnie Parsons
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July, 5, 2011 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN, with Andy Morris and Ron Gleaves officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 10:30 – 3:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Family Members will serve as pallbearers.
