Alfred Davis

Mr. Alfred ?Ray? Davis, 67, a resident of Sandy Hook Rd. in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, February 13, 2004 at his home.

Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Tuesday, February 17 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Gene Barrett, Park Boshers and Olen Bassham officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday and Monday from 4:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Herman and Evelyn Hicks Davis and husband of Sandra Josephine ?Josie? Lovell Davis. He retired as a station attendant after 30 years with Mac?s Service Station. He attended the Methodist Church. He was a 1954 graduate of Haylong High School.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Mike Davis of Sandy Hook, Sandy Steve Dulworth of Dickson and Travis Trina Davis of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Williams of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Douglas Charlotte Davis of Mt. Pleasant and Jimmy Beulah Hicks of Tampa, Fl; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pets, Lucy, Peppers, and Mac.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Evelyn Kelley.

Active pallbearers will be David Lovell, Jeremy Morgan, Timmy Davis, Bryant Workman, Terry Kelley, Pat Kelley, Chris Mayo and James Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Dugger, Kevin Davis, Richard Powers, Billy Wayne Lovell III, Liburn L. Carpenter, Austin Davis, Melvin Attkisson, Jerry Attkisson, Steve Clawson. Dr. Earl Parrott, Roy Cummins, Tony Harris, Josh Kelly, Lee Davis, Earl Cooper, Dalton Cole, John McClain, Adam Dulworth, Steve Dulworth and Ross LeMay.
