It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Anderson. Born on Dec. 25, 1952, he celebrated his 70th birthday this previous Christmas. Don, as he was affectionately known, was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Before moving to Columbia, TN, Don worked for the City of Lansing, MI. After relocating, he worked as a mechanic for the Rogers Group and took on the role of the neighborhood handyman. Don was an avid golfer and had a firm motto of treating others how you wanted to be treated. He surrounded himself with great friends who beamed with positivity.
Don was a devoted husband to Mary and they were wed on October 19, 1996. He is survived by his wife, his daughter Karen Anderson, granddaughter Tabitha Horton, siblings Gayle (Jerry) Hulbert, Jim (Mel) Anderson, Ed (Julie) Anderson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Merlee Anderson and grandparents.
Don will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and his unwavering belief in treating others with respect.
Don's family wants to express their appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
