Born in the serene surroundings of Maui, Hawaii, Nita Hawker moved to California at the age of six with her parents and sister. She grew up exploring the diverse beauty of the Golden State—from Northern California to Los Angeles to San Diego—before graduating from Ventura High School. Nita later attended Ventura Junior College, where she focused her studies on nursing and childhood development.

A lifelong animal lover and passionate gardener, Nita finds joy in getting her hands in the soil and connecting with nature. Her heart for service has led her to volunteer for nearly two decades in various hospitals, where she’s made a lasting impact through compassion and community involvement.

Recently, Nita relocated to Columbia, Tennessee to be closer to her daughter. She is grateful to have found a new home with the Williams Funeral Home family and looks forward to supporting families with care and kindness during their time of need.
